The past 4th of July we went beta, and it was a beautiful milestone in our project. Now we're releasing an update with great improvements!
Match replays are now available
We've been asked to add this feature a while ago, so we put our hands on the job and included it in this release!
You'll be able to watch replays from the matches browser at the arena. Just go there and hit the "Replay" button on the match row:
You'll then be able to watch the match from the creator's perspective.
You'll notice a new button at the top of the match controls:
Just hit that button to step forward in the replay.
Board improvements
We've been asked to modify the zoom and music volume sliders on the boards... they were too small to touch. So we replace them with two buttons that will open a modal with the respective slider when hit.
You'll also find at the bottom of the board a "player dominance bar" that will change with the match progress, so you can see how much of the board is owned by each player.
The ending screen on training mode matches has been improved
When you play training matches or fight a storybook based bot (storybook based matches run in training mode too), you can claim prizes up to 5 times in a day.
A user asked us to include info on how many times are left for prize picking and the cooldown. So we added this info on the ending screen.
The shop received a facelift
We added filters and navigation to the shop. Now it's going to be easier to browse it!
Other changes
There is a handful of fixes included in this release:
- Refactored card revealing animations to make them compatible with iOS.
- Removed some video effects due to incompatibility with iOS.
- Added farming API support.
- Fixed a glitch that shown module coords on the board when they weren't needed.
- Tuned bug reporting utility.
- Edits on the welcome screen.
Assets library updated:
- Fixed image glitches on several Tavin|DAX and Spiral of the damned characters.
Server side:
- Fixed a glitch in the gameserver that didn't allow prize picks from training match wins when they were supposed to be eligible.
- Aborted matches are no longer deleted from the database, but marked as finished without winner.
- Fixed wrong XPs given to the player in the match results.
- Fixed a glitch that, on multiplayer matches, picked a winner even if other players had the same amount of cards instead of declaring a draw. Now a draw is properly declared on this case.
The farming extension is on its way!
This release includes the API for the farming extension, but the functionality is still in the works.
Later on we'll describe what this feature is, but for now, we'll drop a shot of the prototype to let you imagine it:
