We're proud to present to you the first PoliCromix tournament of 2024! It runs from October the 1st, with the final faceoff in Halloween!

There are 4 timezone-based groups. The best of each group will move to the final engagements when one will get the big prize, but everyone will get gifts!

Overview

  • Groups: There are four groups representing different regions and time zones.

  • Stages: The tournament is divided in two stages: "Knockouts" and "Grands".

  • Advancement: Top 2 players from each group advance from the knockouts stage to the grands stage.

  • Matchup in grand quarter-finals: The first-placed player from one group will compete against the second-placed player from another group.

  • Registration: Totally free.

Group A: Americas and Caribbean

  • Time Zone Focus: UTC-5 to UTC-8
  • Countries: USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, Caribbean nations.

Group B: Africa and Parts of Europe

  • Time Zone Focus: UTC+0 to UTC+2
  • Countries: All African nations, Western and Southern Europe.

Group C: Asia

  • Time Zone Focus: UTC+5 to UTC+9
  • Countries: China, India, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asian countries.

Group D: Eastern Europe and Oceania

  • Time Zone Focus: UTC+10 to UTC+12
  • Countries: Australia, New Zealand, Eastern European nations.

Advancement

Knockouts Stage:

  • Each group plays round-robin matches. Every player plays each other 2x times in the group stages.
  • Players will receive 3 points per win, 1 point per draw and 0 points for a loss.
  • Top 2 players from each group based on points tally will advance to the grands.

Grands stage:

  • First-place from Group A vs. Second-place from Group B. Winner in 2 out of 3 matches.
  • First-place from Group B vs. Second-place from Group A. Winner in 2 out of 3 matches.
  • First-place from Group C vs. Second-place from Group D. Winner in 2 out of 3 matches.
  • First-place from Group D vs. Second-place from Group C. Winner in 2 out of 3 matches.
  • Winners from these matches move on to the semi-finals and then to the final match.

Grand semifinals (4 players):

  • P1 vs P2, winner in 2 out of 3 matches.
  • P3 vs P4, winner in 2 out of 3 matches.

Grand final (2 players):

  • Winner in 3 out of 5 matches.
