Poliminer Testing Feedback: Bug Reports and Suggestions for Enhancement

Bug Reports

Here are two issues I encountered consistently:

  1. Miner Profile Window Equipment Not Updating:

    • Description: When you access the miner, a window appears displaying the current miner, their stats, and equipped items (tool, bracelet, ring, necklace). If you equip a different item while this window is open, the displayed gear and the miner's stats in the window do not update to reflect the change.

    • Workaround: You have to close the window and reopen it to view the newly equipped item and the updated stats.

    • Impact: This can cause confusion, especially when comparing equipment stats quickly or for new players. It necessitates extra steps and interrupts the flow of optimizing a miner's setup. The expected behavior is for the window's contents to refresh automatically when equipment is altered.

  2. Stamina Recovery Cap Issue (Potential Bug?):

    • Description: When a miner's stamina decreases to a very low level (e.g., between 1-5 points) and is then left to passively recover, it does not appear to regenerate to its maximum capacity. Instead, it consistently stops recovering at a specific point (observed around 164 stamina, although the precise number wasn't noted).

    • Impact: Whether this is intended behavior or a bug, it feels restrictive. It prevents players' miners reaching full recovery without intervention, hindering gameplay after intensive mining. Clarification on this mechanic would be helpful; if it's unintended, a fix would be beneficial.

Suggestions for Improvement

Here are a few ideas to potentially enhance Poliminer:

  1. [Convenience] Sell Items Directly Via Inventory:

    • Currently, selling items means navigating to the Shop interface. It would be a great quality-of-life improvement if players had an option to sell items directly using their main inventory screen.

  2. [Clarity] Display Leaderboard Bonus Details:

    • The game mentions a bonus for top players on the previous day's leaderboard – a good incentive! However, there is currently no information detailing what this bonus actually consists of. Adding specifics about the rewards (e.g., amount of currency, particular items, temporary buffs) directly onto the Leaderboard screen would offer clarity and could increase player motivation to compete.

  3. [Engagement] Enhance Daily Rewards:

    • The current Daily Rewards mainly offer consumables. To boost daily engagement, consider adding temporary high-tier equipment (e.g., a powerful tool or accessory lasting 2-4 hours) to the reward pool occasionally. This gives players a preview of higher-level gameplay and encourages consistent logins.

  4. [Depth] Implement Tool Upgrade & Repair System:

    • Instead of only acquiring new tools as players progress, introducing a system to upgrade existing tools (improving their stats) and repair them could add welcome depth. This would allow players to become more invested in their gear and offer an alternative progression avenue and resource utilization.

  5. [Engagement] Add Daily Tasks/Quests:

    • Introducing daily tasks could give players short-term goals and make routine mining more varied. Simple objectives, for instance, "Mine 50 [Specific Material]," "Achieve 10 Critical Hits," or "Utilize X Stamina," could reward players with currency, consumables, or crafting materials (e.g., "Mine 50 Diamond for 500 Coins"). This adds another layer of activity and rewards consistent play.

I tried to look into those bugs but I can't seem to replace them. Could make a video or something, because maybe I'm not understanding the issues correctly.

The glitch appears after opening the character modal 2nd time.

the second bug is technically a big one. so let say you have a character with the stamina of 3

- the stamina does not increase while you are inside the game

- whenever you reload the game, stamina increases by 40 units [might depend on character as well] [my high tier miners are out of stamina 🥲]

Note : I can't believe I haven't noticed this glitch till now. Could have topped the leaderboard. LOL 😂 🥲

These issues should be fixed by now.

One little note, the characters do not regenerate stamina while staying idle, you need to deplete their stamina for them to sleep, and only when they wake up they are fully regenerated.
