About the skyrocketing of our $NPATO token

A statement written by LAVA SoftWorks' CEO, also CEO and lead developer of PoliCromix.

Foreword: unrealized reality

Yesterday, I was having breakfast with my wife around 8:00 AM. Then my phone started to yell continuously. When I checked, the PoliCromix group on telegram was being spammed by the flooz.xyz alerts bot that Oliseh added some time ago, notifying a massive amount of buys going on the Negapato page on pump.fun.

By that time, the African Power team was awake, and we immediately started to check what was going on. We didn't have a clue. We just saw how the token was being pumped.

When I went to the page, I saw people asking me to sell my stack. I was shocked by the request, because when I made this token, I purchased a lot of it for several purposes, including in-game utility. Then someone recommended me to lock my supply.

A lot happened during these hours.

Some users started to send DMs to the PoliCromix account, and I went to check them. Some of them recommended me to lock the coins to give trust to the pumping effort.

I went to make a statement on all PoliCromix social channels about nothing from that stack being dumped to cash out on the pump. Then I loaded the wallet with SOL and went to lock the main account. Within the next hour, I disclosed the other two wallets I had with tokens.

During the entire day, most of the team outside of Mexico (where me and other colleagues are) were awake following the events.

A lot happened during those hours. Many people asked for information, others sent recommendations, dozens of promoters started to hit everyone on Telegram and X, and then everything started to speed down.

Some statements were pushed on all social channels, but one like this I'm typing was needed. I'll split it in facts.

Fact #1: it wasn't us who pumped our token

The team and I were focusing on our Telegram minigame (which is in ending beta and will be released in about a week), discussing issues about it and how to fix them, when the pump take place.

We scratched our heads for hours guessing how the pump happened, what triggered it, who was behind it.

Then we were hit on X by him. On this post:

I went to check it, I looked at previous posts of the OP, and found the one that started it all:

He sent a full explanation afterward:

I contacted him, we talked about his reasons to pump the token and I gave him the full tour like I'm doing right now. He deserved it. Because of what he did, we are out of our small cave.

Fact #2: $NPATO is a part of the project, not all of it

As explained in the Negapato info page from day 1, the token was made basically as an experiment with pump.fun. I wasn't familiar with the Solana ecosystem and a handful of reasons were pushing me to it.

Truth is, when me and other colleagues made OnixCoin, we thought on having our own blockchain so we didn't have to spend thousands of dollars in fees for minting tokens. And since I envisioned PoliCromix to be 100% blockchain agnostic (for when the blockchain integration was done), Solana's fees were a perfect fit.

So, I made $NPATO on pump.fun, bought some, and started to work on the implementation on Blockchain Financial to have a code base reusable for later on. That's how I got $NPATO listed on its first CEX. A small one.

Within those days, I took some time to think on tokenomics for $NPATO, but I couldn't reach to any feasible conclusion. It was too early. I'd rather stick to make use cases for it, and then, take time to build up.

But then, "Unknown D3v" found it.

Fact #3: $NPATO was not made for us to speculate with

I've been part of a lot of projects in the 10+ years I've been in the crypto industry, and never got into speculating with cryptos.

For those who know me - yes, I made GrowBot, and it can be used for speculation, but I don't have time to use it. I make it, others take advantage of it. I'm not a trader. I am a developer.

And when I made $NPATO I didn't think on making it to squeeze money out of it. Perhaps some at some point, but not as a primary reason. I don't mind others doing it.

And, hell, pump.fun was a bargain: you made the coin for almost no cost, and if it made it, you wouldn't have to pay to get it to exchanges!

So, I was in no rush to make it succeed. I just kept buying some from time to time to accumulate and drive the price up.

But then, "Unknown D3v" found it.

Fact #4: I locked the stack, and won't dump the others

Before anything: the project is not in financial need to justify a dump.

Yes, we have a tight budget, but we're surviving with it, paying bills and giving incentives to our staff and collabs even though we don't have any income. At all.

I bootstrapped the project with my own funds. I have a partner funding the project operations - a sole investor, and he is also a good friend of mine, he trusts me and he saw the project had a good chance of becoming a big thing in the future.

That being said, and again, as requested/recommended by several people, I locked the main stack and, for transparency, disclosed the other two I made. You'll find that in the Negapato info page.

The other two will be used for the original plans. I don't think they'll suffer much, but since they were disclosed, you will see any transfers in/out in the blockchain.

And I plan to be really careful on how those $NPATOs are spent, because I won't like if, let's say I pay something with Negapatos (some promoter, etc), they go and dump them immediately.

I respect the investment made by all those that jumped in no matter their reasons. It is pretty normal that some traders will go for a quick cash while others will put some trust on it and hold it until it gets a better price, but neither I or anyone from the team is like them.

And as some users said on X: I earned a reputation during these years. You can go ask to the developers of MotaCoin, HTMLcoin, Reddcoin, DigitalNote about me, check my reddit profile years ago when I used to be a pseudo-active member of r/Dogecoin, or check my socials (all linked in the About PoliCromix page. If you want to lurk deeper, I can bring back up the tipping apps I made on Facebook back in 2014 so you can see me interacting with all the people that used them.

And I don't plan to ruin my reputation for stupid cash. Not in this lifetime.

Fact #5: $NPATO is not the project's top priority

PoliCromix is not a blockchain centric project. It will have support though. It is on the roadmap.

Negapato is part of PoliCromix, and it will drive some game features, but it will never be as important as the whole thing.

Don't take me wrong. All of us in the team are grateful with everyone that made Negapato fly high. Especially with Unknown D3v for seeing the big picture and deciding to spread the word out.

But we have a game to make. And it is a big one.

And we have a minigame to make. And a Jetton (a TON token) will come forth for it.
It is a requirement for telegram mini apps with blockchain support. It is a different niche, and the jetton will be rooted to it.
We can't bring $NPATO to the minigame because Telegram doesn't support SPL tokens and won't allow them.

Negapato will have its attention from us, but it won't be all of it.

You can be sure that I'll dedicate some budget to promote it, but it won't be as big as the budget to pay artists or buy assets or pay hosting, salaries and incentives.

Would we benefit if the token goes above 1 cent, or even one dolar? No. Maybe yes at some excerpt, if it happens after next Halloween, when the vesting ends. But we don't know what the price will be by then. If it is too low, it will be worthless to dump. If it is too high, only a small chunk my be sold to secure funding to pay operations. But we don't have a crystal ball, so we'll see how things go while we keep going.

A final word

I think I covered everything I wanted to say.

During the last hours, some users on Telegram proposed to bring a space on X.

Will check to make an AMA and bring myself to repeat all that I said here.

Follow the PoliCromix socials, and if you want, follow me or any other member of the staff. Their links are in the About page.

Thanks for reading.

Stick with this project. You'll love it more than you'll admit.

PS: I'll ƃuᴉʞɔnɟ keep buying.
PS #2: We'll make a set of cads and boards to honor Unknown D3v.

TL;DR: read the whole ƃuᴉʞɔnɟ thing.
